We started NZ Caps in 2017, making artisan keycaps whenever we got the chance - in between working on big film productions with Weta Workshop.
We are both from Dublin, Ireland and we moved to New Zealand in 2016 to work in the film industry. Prior to this we had spent 4 years in London, where Ciara worked in a bespoke design company and Greg completed his Masters in Sculpture.
When Greg discovered the Mechanical Keyboard community online, we were immediately intrigued and loved the idea of making our own artisan keycaps. We started making straight away, and managed to work on new designs part time over 3 years, until 2020 when we decided to take the leap and work full time as NZ Caps.
We worked from our workshop and studio in central Wellington until very recently. We are currently working and operating from Dublin.
